Sometimes I wonder why I start music threads that almost nobody will care about
Probably 'cause I'm an attention whore... or most probably 'cause it exists music that is worth to be known... music I know of only by chance and not for some merit I have (Jorge Luis Borges said something similar about the stories he wrote, as if the stories were just there in a strange platonic world of ideas waiting to be told... - differently from Borges I didn't write anything... but the stories are there, waiting to be listened to...)
So, if you like, post here links to music ranging from Middle Age to the end of the 19th century, or anything related to, you think it's worth to be known...
Chant of the Templars - Salve Regina
Medieval Chant of the Templars. Era of the Crusades.
Title: "Antiphona: Salve Regina".
Performers: Ensemble Organum, Director: Marcel Peres
Album: "Le chant des Templiers"
Goosebumps...
Just listen to the chthonic vibration of the bass voices...![[Image: g6q13dO.gif]](https://i.imgur.com/g6q13dO.gif)
Often people got a stereotyped idea of what was the music of the Medieval Age...
They always imagine the Lord of the Rings or some minor american bullshit B-movie about knights full of special effects and with no substance...
Well... the album where this tune come from, can put together the haughty scholar and the blockbuster addicted...
Have a listen...
