The one war film i'd love to see remade, is the 1958 movie 'Carve her name with pride.'

    starship troopers

Directed by Paul Verhoeven. With Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer, Jake Busey. Humans in a fascist, militaristic future wage war with giant alien bugs.

"Yeah. I understand the mechanics of it, shithead. I just don't understand how this is any less retarded than what I'm suggesting." - Kiley; Housebound.

When I watched this in theaters I saw an elderly man (whom I knew to have been involved in the Vietnam conflict) break down and cry . . .

What a harsh picture of a reality that I've thankfully never known.

Mel Gibson might be psycho but he is one helluvan actor and Sam Elliot always rules! Such a great movie!

    Wildcard is awesome.
