I agree. An artist is an artist regardless of medium. I don't think Tattoo artists get as much respect as they should. There art form is more tedious because the have no way to erase
I couldn't agree more - flesh is a pretty unforgiving medium, not to mention the artists has to press hard enough to get the ink into the dermis, but not so hard as to leave scar tissue.
Not only that but tatoo artists are faced with complex jobs like cover-ups and portraits that will be scrutinized for years. They don't just have to look good for the present either. It's a job I couldn't have even though I'm decent at art.
Yeah. Like it's a brothel or salon! I would like to see some of these Thomas Kincaid types 'paint' on someone's body and risk getting the shit kicked out I them for messing up.
