There was a news story about a group of bird watchers who gathered in Scotland (about 40 of them) to watch a very rare bird and when they saw it, the bird flew into a wind turbine and was killed.
The story concludes with, "suicide has not been ruled out".
I am not the sharpest tack in the box and I just can't decide if this story is a hoax or if it is real. It was carried in The Drudge Report which is a very serious source for world news (although mostly US news). Still, I just can't figure it out.
What do you think? Is it a hoax? How can it be real if it talks about bird suicide?
