from chat.efnet.org . . . looks like it is down (which happens alot) but will be back soon I'm sure.

I put up a temporary Java chat box on the chat page temporarily, but be warned it is tiny and won't size. Otherwise it seems to work well.

When qwebirc webchat comes back online I will change back.

Sorry guys I tried to find a decent substitute for the webchat app we were using, but frankly I can't find one.

Dedicated IRC clients like ChatZilla and XChat work just fine. In fact anyone who enjoys IRC even occasionally should get a client as it will make the experience much better.

I personally use mIRC and would recommend it to an experienced PC user, to a novice I would recommend ChatZilla which actually comes as a Firefox extension to it all happens right in your browser.

That's all I can offer until efnet gets its problems worked out.

the chat issue is not a 'rant central' problem.

get an irc client or wait until the webchat feature is working again. end of discussion.
