I figured I'd make a seperate thread since I couldn't find a standalone docu thread (if there is one I apologize)

With Netflix turning more towards their own special series, I thought this thread would be appropriate. Plus, That's all I've been really watching lately.

I'll start off with the 3 part Netflix docu about Aaron Hernandez - The Killer Inside:

With Kevin Armstrong, Dan Wetzel, Patrick Haggan, Stephen Ziogas. What led to the murderous fall and shocking death of former NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez?

I enjoyed it especially because I came from the same place as him. I was also able to detect some of the stuff they said, against some of the stuff I heard from actual people I know that knew him.

Give it a watch if you have time.

Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (2016-2019)

I still haven't finished this documentary series, but it is crazy-good. Having always loved Leah Remini, I may be a little biased. I would probably believe anything she says because of my huge crush on her Wub You

But still, the facts speak for themselves. Scientology is without a doubt one of the most evil and disruptive "religions" out there. Having been raised in a cult, myself, I totally understand wanting to believe that you (and your cohorts) have the secret to life and happiness— and that the rest of the world are all idiots. This is a basic tactic of cult leaders to dissuade members from giving credit to anyone outside the "family."

I would 100% recommend this series. It might not be eye-opening, as most people seem to realize that Cruise, Travolta, and their ilk are insane. However, it is very well done and not at all hard to watch.

With Leah Remini, Mike Rinder, Mary Kahn, Claire Headley. A series featuring stories from former members of the Church of Scientology whose lives have been affected by the Church's harmful practices.

Ehh, a bigger dick for me is just to spank with anyway... I'd still take it though. Even average blokes like me can feel like porn stars!

I did not. I actually only watched one part of the first one, but it is already clearly enthralling.

I just always thought she was so beautiful that I was willing to give the docuseries a try Tongue

Here is another good one. This is about Daniel Johnston, a visual artist and musician who struggled with mental illness throughout his very odd life. His rise to cult status after Cobain wore one of his shirts in public. He was troubled, but somehow just seems like the kindest person ever.

With Deanna Thompson, John Green, Claudette Hamlin, Antonio Paradiso. A group of online justice seekers track down a guy who posted a video of himself killing kittens.

Here is one I was hemming and hawing about. I didn't want to watch it because I thought it was just about cruelty to animals.

But I guess it starts off that way, but it's tracking down an internet killer... People looked into it because it was f-ing with cats.

I plan to watch my first one today.
