  • Help Request: Customize Desktop Icons
    #1
    Hi All,

I'm just messing about here giving my desktop an overhaul and am looking for some custom desktop icons which i can use instead of the bog standard win7 ones.
Anyone got any ideas for download links.

Tech type themes would be great if that's possible.
Below is how it looks so far:

i've downloaded core sets, but i always mix them up a bit. the way i see it... any thing is a potential icon. i gotta say tho... i don't know much about windows icons. i tend to stick to storing them as png as default and just convert them to rsrc files when i want to use one. its slightly tricky with mac icons.

the cool thing is... if there is a program, there is an alternate icon available just by doing an image search followed by the program name and the word, 'icon'

    http://iconfactory.com/ has tons of stuff

    edit --

looks like windows icons are just standard ico files... but the cake has lied to me before.

this is one of the better online converters if you need it: http://iconverticons.com/
