change the saying game

change the saying

I would like to try this new game if you all will play with me;

Take a common saying and cut off the ending.
Next poster "improves" the saying with a NEW original ending.
and then provides a new incomplete saying for the next poster to complete.

Example;

You can't teach an old dog…

(of course original saying is You can't teach an old dog new tricks)

Next poster writes;

You can't teach an old dog… to do the laundry and take out the trash,
then adds their new partial saying for the next poster to complete

{I am wishing more for creative wordplay than a new competition for most gross and offensive, but I do realize any beast walks on its own legs.}
Please use a saying that most people know or at least can easily understand and find with a few clicks.
And let's go back and use my original example…

You can't teach an old dog…

Better one in the hand than two in the hand.
One is plenty.
Finish that one and if you still want another after that, you can ask then.
