The Films of Denzel Washingon
.
I have watched a few films starring Denzel Washington recently. Almost all of them were really good and really gripping. He hardly ever stars in any bad movies.

So, I just thought that I would make a list for you of some of my favorite Denzel movies. These are not all my very favorites but they will hardly ever let you down. I agree Ali, Denzel Washington is a fine actor. The Hurricane is in my top 20 movies, I love that film and would recommend it to anyone here who hasn't seen it.

There's one or three on your list that I didn't like, 'Man on fire' was the worst. I can't remember what's it about, but I do recall at the time saying 'i wish that bloody film was on fire, and the idiot who wrote it.' Big Grin

Heh Heh. It's been a while since I've seen it. But I recall it was about him acting as a bodyguard to a child whose family was having a lot of trouble. I don't think it was one of my favorite. But I recall that I did like it.

Anyway, everyone has their own likes and dislikes and I appreciate you well enough to know that we won't always agree on everything and we don't have to either.

I just watched Deja Vu again and I really enjoyed it. But a big part of the reason was the SciFi aspect. I'm a real SciFi fan. The twist they had on time travelling in this movie was diff from any others I've ever seen and it was really intriguing. Also the girl was very hot and that never hurts.

WTF

Are you kidding? I love that movie and it always makes me cry at the end. I'm very surprised to hear you say that.

Different strokes for different folks. I'd seen the bodyguard/client bond plot many times before, and it just failed to entertain me.

'Training Day' I think is the best movie he has ever made. Whenever it is on, and I happen to catch it, I can't stop watching. He is amazing in it and it is a great movie all around.

0ne of the worst ones he played in was The Preachers Wife. He played an angel opposite Whitney Houston. I like the movie because I liked the music. But the movie itself was pretty cheesy and very predictable.

Man on fire was enjoyable to me. I like movies about facing your inner demons.

I think my favorite was the one where Denzel is police chief and is being framed for the crime in the movie. Which one was that?

That was Out of Time. I really liked that one too. It was a little similar to Deja Vu. If you liked Out of Time, I would really recommend Deja Vu to you. There is a very nice romantic subplot there. Usually romantic subplots are terrible. But Denzel seems to always make them work.
