Philomena (or Phyllis) Lynott (b. 22 October 1930), is Irish, and his father was Cecil Parris, an Afro-Guyanese.      Some news and fan-site sources said that he was an Afro-Brazilian,          but in an August 2009 interview Parris's wife said that he was from Georgetown, British Guiana.       This was confirmed by Philomena Lynott in July 2010...

i think that you were saying only applies to the Granny rule in football

If he lived in Ireland all his life, and sang "Whiskey in the Jar", he's Irish enough for me Smile

It's not his fault he had the great misfortune to be born in England.

    No fucking censorship. Ever.

I have friends who are Australian born in Vietnam, Australian born in Lebanon, Australian born in Sri Lanka, Australian born in Papua New Guinea -- they identify themselves as Australian, therefore they are Australian. My other half is Scottish, living in Australia, and will always be Scottish.

A nation is only a made-up concept anyway, so your nationality is whatever you decide.

    No fucking censorship. Ever.
