Many Feared Dead In Texas Explosion
WEST, Texas — A massive explosion at a fertilizer plant near Waco on Wednesday night injured dozens of people and sent flames shooting into the night sky, leaving the factory a smoldering ruin following a blast that damaged buildings for blocks in every direction..Two people were immediately reported killed but the death toll could rise to 60 or 70

This seems like an accident, I mean, fertiliser will do this under the right circumstances. I don't think it's a story worthy of its global attention though, it makes people jumpy getting this much coverage.

RE: Many Feared Dead In Texas Explosion
It probably wouldn't have gotten quite this much attention if not for the bombs in Boston the other day. The news over here has been about explosions almost nonstop ever since then and now there was another one. Not related and most likely a complete accident, but still an explosion.

Nitrogen based fertilizer is an excellent explosive.
