Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones Thread)
    #1
Have you read A Song of Ice and Fire? Who is your favorite character? Are you a Lannister or a Stark?

Note: This thread came about from Leanne's off-off topic post:

I actually like Jaime too. More recently than ever.

    Wildcard is awesome.

I do too, but I'm not holding out much hope that he'll survive.

Bastard Martin kills off everyone interesting Smile

Aargh, they're even worse when there are engines involved! Proof that intellect and intelligence are not at all the same thing.

A Martin fan! And no, Tyrion is my favorite character. He'll figure a way out.

Fan is not the right word. It's a compulsion of the highest order Big Grin

Tyrion is wonderful, but I reckon fat Sam's going to do something pretty amazing. Maybe we need a new thread...

I was JUST thinking that, Leanne! I would say great minds- but I'm not on your level. Smile

Early in 2001 I came across A Game of Thrones. As I read them I passed them on to Mark. He also became consumed by them. I am glad that I didn't come across them in 1996 when Game was first published. Each book seems to have enormous lengths of time between releases. The last one Dance with Dragons took what seemed like an eternity to be released. They are all extremely well written and the surprises are neverending. Enjoy them while you can Aish. The Winds of Winter already seem to be lost

Ah, like Steven King's Dark Tower series. I am normally not a big King fan, but that series is DOPE. Problem is, he would often take 4-5 years to put out a new one.
