Mr. Go (2013) [Chinese]
Mi-seu-teo Go

I liked it more than King Kong. The CG effects are captivating.

Wei Wei in the movie was so damn familiar from another movie. Was a pleasant surprise when I realized who it was.

Iron Man 2
Sometimes one notices things only on second/multiple viewings.
There's a scene initially in the movie in Pepper's Office. There's a swinging desk sculpture, which i'd missed in earlier viewings.
A search for that object brings up many 'geeky office supplies'

Also re-watched 'Life of Pi'.

Special Correspondents (2016)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4181052

I liked it. Doesn't try too hard to be funny and that is perhaps a good thing.

Vera Farmiga is memorable in her "negative" role. I liked Ricky Gervais' role and acting.

It may not be a new movie at all, and I had it on my list for so long, but Shawshank Redemption.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/

I recommend that anyone who hasn't seen it go and watch it.

Timbuktu (2014)

Tells the story of occupation of a quiet village by extremist Islamists. Visually very beautiful too. Based on a true incidents.

Toto le héros (1991) [Toto the Hero] {lang:French}

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103105/ - 7.7/10

I didn't get to watch the movie in full, due to interruptions. But I was impressed by what little I saw. Hopefully i'll find the time to re-watch it. It appears to be one of those movies, that can be watched many times. Thought i'd mention it anyway and 'share' this movie :-)

Assassination Games (2011)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1436568/

Stars J.C. Van Damme and Scott 'Boyka' Adkins.

Van Damme is evidently past his fighting days. His sagging face does all the acting now.
Watchable for a few funny torture techniques.
