Custom User Titles
#1
Underneath your username is your user title. By default it is associated with your post count.

0 posts   = Newbie
1 post    = Junior Member
50 posts  = Member
250 posts = Senior Member
750 posts = Posting Freak

However, you can choose a custom User Title at any time. Go to UserCP -> Edit Profile to edit your Custom User Title.
Wildcard is awesome.

Bump!

Just a reminder that all members can choose their own user titles at any time. On many forums you have to make a minimum number of posts for that privilege, or even pay to have your own custom user title, but not here at R.C.

Simply follow the steps described above by Mark and edit your own title.

I like the concept of the default user titles depending on the number of posts you've made. Titles look best when they're seen with the post, so I guess nobody's gonna see the title "Newbie" that way, lol.
Yo
My crew is in the house
Terra, Herb McGruff, Buddha Bless
Big Twan, Killa Kam, Trooper J, and Mike Boogie
And I'ma set it like this...

Big Grin Well . . .

If you go to a new user's profile you will see the 'Newbie' title, but never in the thread view. (well, not here, if we had any forums that didn't add to the post count someone could post there and the 'Newbie' title would show)

I meant to bring this up earlier (like 2 years ago :p) but if anyone has a better idea for the ranks by post (or even want to add more) it is possible. I just never worried much about them since we allow custom titles.

I think it would be better if Newbie was 0 to 10 posts, and Junior Member was 11 to 49 posts.

Making Junior Member equal twenty-five posts would be a better fit to the mathematical pattern.

Call yourself whatever you want to as it doesn't mean anything since RC allows custom titles.

That's what I think. Yay

This thread is discussing the system generated default titles based on post count.
snilly's suggestion for a custom title is really only suitable for him.

So:

0 posts   = Newbie
25 post   = Junior Member
50 posts  = Member
250 posts = Senior Member
750 posts = Posting Freak

?

I was thinking more like:

0 posts   = n00b
25 post   = New Ranter
100 posts = Ranter
250 posts = Rantasaurus Rex
750 posts = Raving Ranter

^I purposely didn't put much thought into that because I'd rather hear some suggestions.

The second set of options looks very ranty. Smile
