ConvertXtoDVD Kills My Recordable DVDs
Recently, when I put in DVDs when burning stuff on ConvertXtoDVD, it says:

BURN WRITE FAILED: Can't find write strategy at sector 16
BURN: Write error at 246480(16) - Code 052102 [Illegal request, Invalid address for Write.].

What's wrong?

It's IDE, but I don't think it's the problem; the burner has been operating without problems with the same make until now.

go to control panel → device manager → open the IDE controllers → right-click the dvd burner and select properties → on advanced tab check if it's DMA or PIO. should be DMA. if it's PIO, that might just be where your problem is coming from.

edit - and yes, it works fine until windows change from DMA to PIO by itself...

2nd edit - i don't know if i used all the right words as they show in english versions of windows 'cause mine is in portuguese...

It doesn't say if it's PIO or DMA.

Attempting to use the other DVD-R drive that I have to burn stuff.

also keep in mind convertx is a video converter app. best burning results are always achieved with a proper burning app.
