Alice isn't funny anymore, but Willona's still got it going on.

    Information
TV shows I watched as a kid that hold up:
The Jeffersons- back when racial differences were funny
All in the Family- still shocking sometimes.
    Good Times- damn, damn, damn!
    Mary Tyler Moore- Mister Grant!
Laverne & Shirley- before move to California.
One Day at a Time- even though Bonnie Franklin's nipples showing through her velour caftan things are distracting.
Maude- this character still scares me! Still seems shocking that it got aired.
    Golden Girls- CLASSIC
The Nanny- any episode with Val.
Brady Bunch- just don't look at recent pictures of kids.
Bob Newhart- wish I appreciated this more back then.
The Munsters- short lived but still great premise.
Roseanne- this could air today (except last season when she went nuts)
Cheers- I'll admit it, I love Shelly Long.
Mama's Family- still corny but cute.
Bewitched- early episodes, but Sam's yellow teeth are distracting as hell.
The Honeymooners- master class by everyone involved.
TV shows I watched as kid that did not hold up:
Alice- how did I think this was funny? And Flo was the sexy one?
Happy Days- sadly, not the classic I always thought it was.
Designing Women- Somebody take the stick out of Julia's ass and use it to knock her off that high horse. Pure Torture
Cosby- go stuff your old man dance moves and condescending tone Dr Huckstable.
Rhoda- loved her, but unlike Mary Tyler Moore this show is too dated.
Facts of Life- this shit was funny?
    Three Stooges- oddly unbearable anymore.

How could you have missed Diff'rent Strokes and What's Happening? They were on at the same time as The Jeffersons and The Facts of Life.

Also, which show starring Bob Newhart did you watch? He had two. There was The Bob Newhart Show that started with Bob Newhart answering the phone; and there was Newhart which featured Larry, Larry's brother Daryl, and Larry's other brother Daryl.

Wow- how did I forget What's Happening with Rerun, Shirley, Dee and Raj?! I didn't watch a lot of Different Strokes though, or Silver Spoons. Plus they are never on in reruns like the other show.
I was referring to the original Bob Newhart show, although the one where he owned the inn with L,D& D was on when I was in high school I think and was also good.

How could you leave out The Andy Griffith Show?

And The Dick Van Dyke show?

I still watch reruns of The Andy Griffith Show today - as long as Don Knotts is in the epi.

After he left the show, there was not one epi worth a shit.

Some people say that Aunt Bee's working at a counterfeiter was a good epi but I think it was shit and they were all shit without Barney.

But the ones with Barney may just be some of the greatest TV sitcoms of all time - yesterday, today and tomorrow too!

I don't know if The Real McCoys with Walter Brennan makes it into your timeframe. But if it does, there were some pretty good epis of that show too.

I'm glad to see you left out I Love Lucy. Many people think it was the be all and end all. But I don't think it holds up for shit. Lucille Ball was a whole list of curse words. What a nasty bitch!

But I liked the shows that Mel Brooks worked on. Most notably, Your Show of Shows with Sid Ceaser. It was great before he went nuts (Sid Ceasar became a terrible alcoholic).

By the way, I have found the first 4 seasons of Perry Mason. But if anyone knows where I can D/L the last 4 or 5 seasons, I'd really appreciate it. I love that show and it still holds up. I prefer to watch reruns of that instead of Law & Order.

Happy Days may have fallen off at some point but when it first came out it was great. I watched that show every single day although I was watching reruns 10 years later.

I can get into slapstick but it requires someone with pizazz like John Candy or Belushi . . .

BTW ... I always thought The Adams Family was much better than The Munsters.

The lady who played Morticia did a few movies and she was always very hot.

Plus, the niece Marilyn on The Munsters was a terrible addition. It would have been much funnier without her.
